Police appeal for witnesses after a fire is set at a youth club in Belper.

Officers were called to the Blue Box Youth Club on Park Road at 6am on Friday, August 8 to reports of a fire.

The fire service had extinguished the fire on arrival; a fire investigation was carried out and the fire was deemed to be started deliberately. The fire is thought to have been started the night before.  

Police and fire service are now carrying out a joint investigation.

Anyone that may have seen anyone acting suspiciously is asked to contact DC Gareth Cole on the non-emergency number 101.
