Information appeal after man is assaulted at an Ilkeston home

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked by three men at a house in Ilkeston.

At around 6.45pm on Wednesday, August 20, three men entered a property on Beresford Drive in Ilkeston.

The men began punching and kicking the victim and dragged him to the floor, before driving off in white coloured Vauxhall Vivaro van.

The first man was described white, 6ft tall, of a slim build with dark brown hair. He was aged in his 40s and was wearing a red t-shirt and black combat trousers.

The second man was also white, aged in his 50s, with short white hair and around 5ft 6ins tall. He was of stocky build and wore a blue t-shirt.

The third man was also white with tanned skin, 5ft 7ins tall, of medium build and with a shaved head. He had tattoos down both arms and around his neck, and was wearing a dark blue t-shirt, dark blue combat trousers and work boots.

All three men spoke with local accents.

The victim was taken to Ilkeston Hospital where he received stitches for a head injury.

Police investigating the incident would like to speak to anyone who may have seen a similar van in the area around the time of the incident or whether they know of any men matching the description of the offenders.
