Police investigating an assault at a takeaway in Derby have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to.

A 34-year-old man was assaulted by two men as he waited for a food order in Famous, a takeaway restaurant in Normanton Road.

The victim was punched and kicked several times by his attackers, who also struck him to the legs with a chair.

The assault was stopped by staff at the takeaway and ejected from the premises.

Police have issued a CCTV image of two men they want to speak to in connection with the offence.

Anyone with information on the assault, which took place at about 8.40pm on Wednesday, May 21, should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 21070/14.
