Police appeal after teenager was robbed in Glossop

Officers investigating a robbery in Glossop are appealing for witnesses.

On Thursday, August 21 at 10.30pm a 17-year-old boy was walking along North Road in Glossop when he was approached by a man who asked him for his phone. The teenager refused, the man then punched him in the stomach and knocked the phone out of his hand.

The youth retaliated and punched the man in the mouth and then ran away up North Road.

The man was described as white, 5ft 11ins tall and was wearing a black hooded jacket with the hood worn up over a black cap.

Anyone that may have witnessed the robbery is asked to contact DC Ellen Fox using the non-emergency number 101.
