Man charged with drink-driving after collision in Chesterfield

A 30-year-old man has been charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol after a two-car collision in Chesterfield.

The collision, in Chesterfield Road, Shuttlewood, involved a Ford Mondeo and a Skoda Fabia.

No-one was injured in the incident, which happened at about 9.30pm on Saturday, December 6.

The driver of the Mondeo was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink-driving and has now been charged.

Jason Jones, 30, of Creswell Road, Clowne, Chesterfield, was bailed and is due to appear at North East Derbyshire and Dales Magistrates’ Court on January 2.
