On Saturday, November 29 at 12.30am a Hackney carriage taxi picked up four men and one woman from Corporation Street in Chesterfield and drove them to The Rocklands at Shirebrook.

The group refused to pay the fare and before leaving the taxi caused a considerable amount of damage to the inside of the taxi.

They ran off shouting racist abuse directed at the taxi driver.

One of the men was described as 30-35 years old, of a slim build, dark hair and a beard. The rest of the group were aged between 20-25 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Andrew Brooks at Bolsover police station using the non-emergency 101 number.
