Posted on 15th December 2014

Police investigating the theft of a bank card and cash from a member of the public have released CCTV images of three men they want to speak to.

An 82-year-old woman was at a cashpoint in Park Farm Shopping Centre, in Park Farm Drive, Allestree, just before 3.15pm on Friday, December 12.

She was then distracted by three men who took her card from the machine and ran off. The card was later used to withdraw cash.

A similar incident occurred at the Sainsbury’s Local store in Kedleston Road, Derby, at about 3.20pm the same day.

A 48-year-old woman was using a cashpoint outside the shop when a man approached and tried to distract her. He made a grab for the money she had withdrawn but fled empty-handed.

Police are linking the two incidents and have released CCTV images of three men they want to speak to in connection with both.
