Woman assaulted with a wine bottle in Long Eaton

Appeal for information after a woman was assaulted at her home in Long Eaton.

On Tuesday, December 16 just after midnight a woman was in her garden on Bridge Street when she saw two men in the yard. She went back inside and as she did so one of the men reached into the house and picked up her handbag that was beside the door.

The woman managed to grab her bag back from the man. The man then took an empty wine bottle and assaulted the woman with it causing cuts to her head and hands.

One of the men was described as white, between 5ft 7ins and 5ft 9ins tall and was wearing a black baseball cap and a grey hoody. The other man was white, slim build, between 5ft 5ins and 5ins 6ins tall and was wearing a black jumper and a black bobble hat.
