Four youths arrested in connection with assaults on Normanton Road in Derby

Officers investigating an assault on a 20-year-old man on Normanton Road in Derby on Monday December 29 have arrested four people.

Three 17-year-old youths and a 14-year-old, who are all from Derby were arrested yesterday and overnight last night December 30/31 in connection with the assault.  They all remain in police custody.

Police were called to Normanton Road at about 6.50pm on Monday December 29 to a report of youths fighting in the street.

One youth and a 20-year-old man were injured and the window of the bookmakers William Hill was broken.

The injured youth, who is 17-years-old and from Normanton, is being treated in hospital for a puncture wound in his back.  The man, who is also from Normanton, sustained minor injuries.
