19-year-old Newhall man seriously injured in road crash

At about  7.25am on Wednesday 19th February 2014 a serious road traffic collision occurred on the A444, Woodland Road Stanton near to the Gate Inn public house and the old Wrekin buildings.

A large goods vehicle used by Severn Trent and a red 125cc Lexmoto motorcycle were involved in the collision. Both vehicles had been travelling from Burton in the direction of Castle Gresley.

The 19-year-old rider of the motorcycle, who is from Newhall, sustained serious injuries and was taken to the North Staffordshire Hospital in Stoke.

The Serious Collision Investigation unit is appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision occur or anyone who may have seen the vehicles beforehand.
