Coach firms taking Chesterfield FC fans to Wembley urged to inform police

Posted on 28th February 2014

Derbyshire police are asking coach and minibus firms taking Chesterfield FC fans to Wembley next month to inform them of their plans.

They would also like to hear from independent trip organisers.

The idea is to help prevent parking problems on the day and give the Metropolitan Police a clear picture of the amount of coaches travelling to the stadium.

The Spireites will play Peterborough United on Sunday, March 30 in the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

Trip organisers, coach or minibus operators travelling to Wembley for the game are asked to call Football Intelligence Officer PC 2480 David Wright on 0300 122 8267.
