Man charged after vehicle was taken from Matlock

A man has been charged in connection with a vehicle that was taken during a milk round in Matlock.

On Friday, January 17 a Peugeot 306 was taken from Black Rocks Avenue at around 5.30pm while the owner left the vehicle unattended during his milk round.

A man was arrested after a patrolling officer on the A6 at Cromford crossroads saw the vehicle and stopped it as he thought it looked suspicious.

25 year-old Robert Sisson of Lanthwaite Close, Nottingham has been charged with taking without consent, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.

He will appear before magistrates in Chesterfield on Tuesday, February 18.
