Information appeal following a fire incident in New Mills

Police are appealing for information after a fire started outside New Mills Leisure Centre.  

Sometime between 7pm on Saturday, February 22 and 10.30am on Sunday, February 23, a cardboard recycling bin caught fire outside the leisure centre on Hyde Bank Road, New Mills.

Due to weather conditions the fire was extinguished but damaged was caused to the side of the building. No one was injured.

Anyone with any information about the fire or who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area between these times is asked to contact PC Cantrill on 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.
