Man assaulted outside his house in Langley Mill

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted outside his house in Langley Mill.

At around 9pm on Tuesday, January 14 a 28-year-old man was assaulted outside his home on Bourne Drive.

Two men knocked on the door and when the victim answered it the men confronted him and he was then assaulted on the doorstep.

The victim suffered cuts to his face and neck and was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre for treatment. His injuries are not life threatening.

The men ran off in the direction of North Street and may have got into a car or continued on foot.  

The men are described as Asian, in their 30s and wearing dark clothing.
