Independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers is today offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for a burglary in Derbyshire.
The burglary occurred in Sycamore Road, Chapel en-le-Frith between the hours of 4.30am and 5am on Tuesday, June 24. The 85-year-old lady was disturbed by a sound, when she got up to investigate she was confronted by the offender in her hallway.
The man demanded money and forced her back into her bedroom where he was violent towards her, causing injuries to her face and hands.
The offender is described as a white man of stocky build, he was wearing dark clothing, gloves and had his face covered. He made off with £500 which he told the victim was needed for drugs.
Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £3,000 for information passed to the charity’s 0800 555 111 number that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible for this crime.
