Witness appeal after burglar steals smartphone from Tibshelf home

Burglars stole a smartphone after forcing open the back doors to a house in Tibshelf in broad daylight.

The house, in Foxpark View, was broken into between 2.30pm and 3.20pm on Saturday, July 5.

A Samsung Galaxy 3 Mini phone was stolen from inside after the offenders forced open the back doors using what was believed to be a crowbar.

Witnesses saw a youth aged in his late teens running from the address. He had dark hair, was of slight build, and was carrying a black jacket.

Police want to hear from anyone who may know the person responsible or might have seen someone acting suspiciously in the area before or after the offence.
