Expensive saddles stolen from Swadlincote stables

Burglars broke into tack room at a farm in Swadlincote and stole a number of valuable items that were stored inside.

The offenders forced open a gate leading to a field at the property and then broke into the tack room by removing the padlocks.

Among the items stolen from within were 16in and 17in Symonds Saddlery Cambridge GP saddles, two black leather bridles, two Le Miux sheepskin half pads, and two stirrup irons, each with crystal decorations.

Also taken was a black Roma dressage saddle cloth and a red saddle cloth with the name ‘JC Hosen-Wen’ on it. Some of the stolen items are pictured below.

The break-in happened at a farm in Clifton Road, Lullington, between midnight and 6.30am on Monday, June 23.

Police investigating the burglary want to hear from anyone who may know the whereabouts of the items or may have been offered them for sale.
