Man charged after alleged robbery in Ripley home

A 23-year-old man has been charged in connection with an alleged robbery which took place in a house in Ripley.

Officers were called to a house in Morleyfields Close after a man reported that he had been robbed by two men who pinned him to the floor and took his wallet.

The alleged offence took place at about 2.30pm on Monday, July 14.

One man was arrested in connection with the incident on Friday, July 18.

Thomas Wilsher, of Barlestone Road, Coalville, Leicestershire, has now been charged with robbery.

He appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court this morning and was remanded in custody.
