An 18-year-old man has been charged with two robberies which were alleged to have taken place in an underpass in Derby.

The two incidents took place in an underpass linking Derby College and Railway Terrace and saw the victims – one aged 18 and one 19 – forced to hand over their phones.

Keiran Doyle, of Porter Road, Derby, was arrested in connection with the alleged offences and has now been charged with two counts of robbery.

The 18-year-old was due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 18.
