Burglar disturbed during break-in at Long Eaton home

A burglar was disturbed by a vigilant member of the public after breaking into a bungalow in Long Eaton.

The offender had smashed a hole in a patio door in Tamworth Road and searched the inside of the property.

During the offence, a member of the public who had heard a bang in the bungalow disturbed the burglar, who ran out of the property and escaped.

A Swarovski necklace was stolen during the burglary, which took place at about 1.55pm on Sunday, July 20.

The offender was white, in his late teens or early-20s, about 5ft 8ins and of muscular build. He wore a grey tracksuit, with a grey hooded top with the hood up.
