Witness appeal after man suffers broken jaw in assault outside McDonald's

An 18-year-old man suffered a broken jaw after he was assaulted outside a McDonald’s restaurant.

The victim had been inside the St Peters Street McDonald’s in Derby with a friend when the pair walked outside.

Shortly afterwards, four men approached them and after a verbal altercation, the victim was punched to the face, suffering a broken jaw.

The victim’s 18-year-old friend was also punched and both were taken to Royal Derby Hospital.

The incident took place between 4am and 4.30am on Sunday, July 20.

The area was busy at the time and police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or might know the people responsible.
