Robber on bike steals earring after targeting pensioner

An 84-year-old woman had her earring stolen after a robber on a bicycle rode past and snatched it.

The victim was walking in St Thomas Road, Derby, at about 9.40pm on Wednesday, July 23 when the robbery happened.

The offender grabbed the victim’s earring as he rode by and made off with it. The victim was not injured.

The robber was wearing a dark grey or black hoodie and was riding an old bicycle. He turned onto Village Street after the offence.

Police want to hear from witnesses or anyone who might know the person responsible for the offence.
