A 55-year-old man from Newhall has been charged with three offences following his arrest on Saturday July 25.
Glenn Robinson of Belvoir Crescent in Newhall has been charged with one offence under Section 2 of the Explosive Substances Act 1883 (cause an explosion likely to endanger life), one offence under Section 4 of the same act (make an explosive substance for an unlawful purpose) and the production of cannabis.
He is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court today (Monday July 28).
Up to 200 people were evacuated from their homes on Saturday evening following the discovery of potentially volatile substances at a flat in Newhall.
