A boiler, gas meter and lead flashing were stolen from a house in Ilkeston after burglars broke in through a window.
The house, in Park Road, was unoccupied at the time of the burglary as a new owner was preparing to move in.
Among the items stolen was a combi boiler, copper piping, a gas meter and a fuse box. Lead flashing was also taken from the kitchen roof.
The break-in took place between May 15, when the new owner last viewed the property before buying it, and Wednesday, July 23.
Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area between those dates.
Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 30712/14.
