Woman assaulted in Derby

Police officers in Derby are investigating an assault that occurred at around midday on Porter Road in Derby on May 7.

During the assault a 38-year-old woman from Derby suffered cuts to her hand and bruising.

Officers are interested in speaking to any members of the public who may hold information about this offence.  They are particularly keen to speak with anybody who was on nearby Stanhope Street at around 11.45pm on that day and witnessed an altercation between a female pushing a pushchair and the occupants of a Silver Nissan Micra.

A 24-year-old woman, also from Derby, has been arrested, questioned and bailed.
