Man charged with Derby robbery

A man has been charged with robbery after a 46-year-old Derby man was assaulted and robbed in the city.

The assault happened just after midnight on Monday June 16 as the victim, who lives on Moss Street, was walking through the city.  He saw a man on Normanton Road who then followed him and asked him for money.  On the junction of Boyer Street and Farm Street the victim was assaulted and robbed.

Sean Slater (34) of Friargate Court in Derby was charged with robbery on June 16 and appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrate’s Court the next day.  His next court appearance will be at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday July 1, 2014.
