Posted on 23rd June 2014

Police are appealing for witnesses after a burglar was disturbed by the owner of a house in Brailsford.

The offender had walked into the house, in Luke Lane, but was spotted and ran off empty-handed across nearby playing fields.

He wore jeans, a blue top and a black flat cap, and was carrying a black plastic bag.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw a man matching that description in the area around the time of the offence, which was at about 4pm on Friday, June 20.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call DC Simon Rogers on 101, quoting crime reference 25623/14. You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
