Image released of man police would like to trace who took injured runner to hospital

Police issue image of man they would like to speak to in connection with an incident where a runner was injured in Matlock.Matlock-RTC1

On Thursday, January 9 a man was running along Bank Road when a man in a car opened his door and struck the runner.

The car was parked half on the pavement and half on the road. The runner suffered injuries to his leg and required hospital treatment.

The man was described as 6ft 4ins tall wearing beige trousers and a black t shirt.

The car owner took the man to Whitworth Hospital and then left. Police would like anyone who recognises the man to contact them quoting RTC reference 4798.
