Witness appeal after offensive graffiti is sprayed over skate park

Posted on 30th June 2014

Police are appealing for information after offensive words were sprayed on a skate park in Belper.

The site – off Derwent Street – was targeted by vandals who used white spray paint to write words on the ramps and rails.

Officers attended the skate park after reports that the graffiti contained racially offensive words.

Police now want to hear from anyone with information on the offence, which happened between June 18 and June 22.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 26521/14.

You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
