Jewellery is stolen from house in Buxton in the middle of the day

Police appeal for information after sentimental jewellery was stolen from a house in Buxton.

On Friday, June 27 at 1.15pm the owner of a house on Beaumont Drive, Dove Holes was sat having her lunch when she heard a loud noise.

She got up and tried to get through to the front of the property but the door was jammed.

Offenders smashed an outside conservatory door then smashed through an internal door to gain access to the property. A large amount of jewellery was stolen.

Two youths were seen running away from the property, they were described as between 5ft 6ins and 5ft 8ins tall and both of a slim build. They were wearing dark blue hooded jackets with the hoods worn up.
