Police appeal for witnesses after a flat fire in Chapel-en-le-Frith.

Today (Thursday, June 5) at 12.34am police and the fire service were called to a fire at a flat on Market Street. An investigation was carried out and it is thought to have been started deliberately.

Officers investigating the alleged arson would like members of the public to contact them if they saw anyone in the vicinity of Market Street acting suspiciously just before midnight on Wednesday, June 4.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 15 of Thursday, June 5.
