Police issue warning after house was burgled via open window in Buxton

Police seek information after house is burgled in Buxton.

On Monday, June 2 between 2.30pm and 3.30pm a house on Leek Road in Buxton was broken into. Access to the house was gained by climbing through an upstairs bedroom window.

A quantity of jewellery was stolen from the property.

DC Laura Weston from Buxton CID said: “We would like to remind people not to leave their windows open when they go out or if they are in the garden. Even if they are upstairs windows access can still be gained.”
