Police appeal for witnesses after a man was robbed in Ripley.

On Monday, April 14 at 4pm a man walked from Peasehill Road and onto The Greenway, in the direction of Denby. When he got near to a car garage he saw a man walking towards him.

When the man got close he hit the victim in the face and knocked him to the ground and asked him what he had got. The victim got up and he was hit a further two times. The victim handed over his Motorola G phone and some money.

The man took the items from the victim and then hit him again in the face. He was described as mixed race, 18-30 years-old with big bushy eyebrows. He was of stocky build and was wearing a light grey coloured tracksuit with the hood worn up and a scarf covering his face.
