Posted on 6th March 2014

Robbers stole cigarettes from a service station on the A50 at Shardlow last night (Wednesday March 5).

The robbery happened at about 10.15pm when four men went into the kiosk on the eastbound carriageway. They threatened the staff and stole cigarettes from the display cabinet.

The four offenders ran out of the kiosk and put the cigarettes into the back of a dark coloured car that was driven away. The robbers, who were wearing balaclavas and hoods, ran across the car park and up a path.

One suspect was thought to be white and about six feet tall.

Anyone who has any information about the incident should contact the police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
