Woman seriously injured in Buxworth collision

Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision on Station Road Buxworth at 3.40pm yesterday (Wednesday March 5).
A Honda CRV left the road, went onto a verge and hit a tree and a lamppost. It also collided with a stationary Kia Sedona which hit a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 50-year-old woman from the Chapel-en-le-Frith area, was taken to Stepping Hill Hospital with multiple serious injuries. She was transferred to Wynthenshaw Hospital and was later moved to Hope Hospital in Salford.
The 66-year-old driver of the Honda was not injured.
