Police link two Dronfield burglaries

Police are linking an attempted burglary and a burglary in Dronfield Woodhouse, in which jewellery amongst other items was stolen.

Sometime between 3.00pm on Saturday, February 15 and Thursday, February 20 a window was smashed to gain entry to a house on Northern Common in Dronfield Woodhouse.

A search was made of all the rooms but nothing was taken.    

The second burglary was reported to have taken place sometime between 9.30am on Monday, February 17 and 9.30am on Tuesday, February 18 in a property adjacent to the first attempted burglary.

On this occasion, entry was gained via the rear conservatory door, an untidy search was made and jewellery, a ladies wristwatch, an antique pocket watch as well as office and computer equipment was stolen.

Police are linking the two crimes and are urging anyone with information to call officers on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 quoting crime reference number 7112/14.
