Drug dealer is jailed for more than three years after warrant at Derby flat

A drug dealer who was arrested after police executed a warrant at a flat in Derby and found cannabis and cocaine inside has been jailed.

The warrant was carried out at the property in Avondale Road, Derby, on August 23 last year, during which officers seized a large amount of the class A and B drugs.

A second warrant was executed at a house in Stenson Road, Littleover, where more cannabis and cocaine was recovered.

Mohammed Shafiq was arrested and charged with possessing class A and B drugs with intent to supply.

The 31-year-old, of Stenson Road, Littleover, pleaded guilty to the charges at Derby Crown Court on February 17. He was sentenced to a total of 40 months in prison on Tuesday, March 11.
