Appeal for witnesses after women are groped by a man in Derby

Police are appealing for information after two women reported being groped by a man in Derby.

On Wednesday, March 26, a 46-year-old woman was walking along Amy Street at around 7.45am when a man approached her from behind and touched her inappropriately.

At around 8.10am on the same morning, a 25-year-old woman was walking along Findern Street when a man began to follow her and attempted to grope her before she ran off.

The description of the offender in both of the incidents was white, aged in his 20s and around 5ft 8ins to 6ft tall. He wore blue tracksuit bottoms and spoke with a Derby accent.

He had short, light coloured hair and wore a black woollen hat in one incident with a red rim around it.

Witnesses to any of these incidents, or anyone who might know the person or people responsible, should call 101, the non-emergency number for Derbyshire police.
