Appeal after car fails to stop following Killamarsh collision

Police in Killamarsh are appealing for information after a car failed to stop following a collision with a young girl.

At around 4.30pm on Friday, May 9 an 8-year-old pedestrian was in collision with a black car on Sheffield Road.

The girl was taken to Sheffield Children’s Hospital where she was treated for minor injuries.

The car left the scene of the collision before emergency services arrived.

Police are trying to trace the vehicle and its driver as part of their investigation and are keen to speak to motorists or anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident.

Anyone with information about the car or the identity of its driver is asked to call Derbyshire police on 101 quoting incident number 493 of 9/5/14.
