Detectives investigate robbery at Barlborough shop

Detectives are appealing for information after cash was stolen during a robbery at a shop in Barlborough.

At around 7.20pm on Monday, May 19 a man entered Spar on Ash Close and demanded money from the cashier. The man appeared to be carrying a knife.

The staff member opened the till and the offender reached in and took money and put it into a bag before leaving the shop.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The offender is described as around 5ft 10ins tall, of slim build and wearing jeans, a black hooded top and light coloured footwear. His face was covered.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw someone fitting this description in the area around the time of the incident.
