A woman had her handbag snatched from her arm by a robber on a bike.

The 51-year-old victim was walking along Pride Parkway, in Derby, when the robber cycled up and grabbed her bag.

He rode off towards Derwent Parade with the handbag, which contained cash, two phones and a tablet device.

The robber was white, in his late-teens, about 5ft 10ins and of slim build. He wore a grey hooded top and was riding a BMX or similar bike with the seat low to the frame.

Detectives investigating the robbery want to hear from anyone who might have seen someone matching that description in the area, or may know the person responsible.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 20926/14. You can also call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
