Posted on 29th May 2014

A woman was forced to the ground during a robbery in which two youths made off with her phone.

The 57-year-old victim was walking along Rutland Terrace, in Ilkeston, when two boys walked towards her.

The offenders parted to let the victim pass but, as she did, one of them grabbed the handbag on her shoulder.

She then fell to the floor and her phone – a white Samsung Galaxy S3 – dropped onto the pavement.

The offenders took the phone and ran off after the robbery, which took place at about 2.45pm on Tuesday, May 27.

One of the robbers was white, aged about 14 or 15, 5ft 6ins, of tall, slim build. He wore a black Superdry hooded jacket with a white Superdry motif on the left pocket, black tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The second was also white, aged 14 or 15, about 5ft 4ins, of tall and medium build. He wore a royal blue hooded top, blue jeans and white trainers.
