Cigarettes and alcohol stolen from Ilkeston newsagent

Police are appealing for information after a large quantity of cigarettes and alcohol were stolen from a shop.

Burglars broke into Ilkeston News, in Bath Street, through a side door between 4am and 4.45am on Thursday, May 29.

A large amount of cigarettes were stolen from behind the counter and several crates of lager were also taken by the offenders.

Police investigating the break-in want to hear from anyone who saw people near the newsagent before or after those times.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 22113/14.
