Youth charged with attempted robbery in a Derby market.

On Tuesday, March 11 a man was approached by two youths on bicycles in Allenton Market. One of the youths demanded that he hand over a Blackberry mobile phone and threatened him.

The man ran off and called police.

A 14-year old boy has been charged with attempted robbery and is due to appear at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates Court on May 23.
