Man charged with two Derby robberies

A Nottinghamshire man has been charged in connection with two robberies in Derby.

Robert Blake (24) from Main Road, Redmile in Nottinghamshire was charged on Friday October 31 and appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Saturday November 1.

Blake is accused of committing a robbery at Baseball Drive in Derby on Friday August 22, 2014 and another at an address on Radford Street in Alvaston on Monday September 1, 2014.

He was charged with two robberies, blackmail, kidnap, two firearm offences and threatening a person with a blade/sharply pointed article in a public place.

He was remanded in prison custody and is due to appear at Derby Crown Court on Friday November 14.
