Police have released CCTV footage of a man and woman they want to trace in connection with the theft of cash from an elderly woman.

The 78-year-old victim had been shopping in Derby and visited a branch of the Nationwide to withdraw money.

She then continued shopping in the city centre and spotted a man and a woman several times in the same stores she had been going in.

Later the same day, the victim realised that a large amount of cash had been stolen from her handbag.

Police have now issued CCTV footage of a man and a woman they want to speak to in connection with the incident.

The theft happened between 11.30am and 11.55am on October 9.
