Appeal for witnesses after an attempt robbery in Riddings

Police appeal for information after an attempt robbery on a park in Riddings.

On Sunday, November 9 at 3.30pm a man was walking across Riddings Park, near the wooded area and cricket pitch, when he was threatened by a man asking him to empty his pockets.

The victim punched the man to his left cheek and ran from the park onto Parkside.

The man was described as white, between 6ft 1ins and 6ft 2ins tall and was wearing a dark coloured leather jacket with a dark scarf/balaclava over his face.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Louisa Briscoe at Ripley police station using the non-emergency 101 number.
