Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a man in Buxton.

At about 2.30pm on Tuesday November 11 a 32-year-old local man was walking through Serpentine Park in Buxton with his girlfriend when he was approached by three people.  One man allegedly threatened him and then he was assaulted.

One man, aged 25, and two youths aged 17 and 14 respectively have been arrested in connection with the incident.  They were released on police bail after questioning.

PC Laura Weston, who is investigating the allegation, would particularly like to speak to a couple who were walking their dog in the park at the time.  The victim believes they may have seen what happened.

Anyone with information should contact PC Weston on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
