Woman disturbs burglar in her Little Eaton home

Posted on 13th November 2014

Police are appealing for information about a burglary in Little Eaton.

At 7pm last night (Wednesday November 12) a woman, living on Barley Close in the village, disturbed an intruder in her house.

She realised that someone was in the house when she found the front door ajar and checked the rooms of her bungalow.  She found a teenager hiding in the bathroom and he ran off when she screamed at him to get out.  Nothing was stolen.

She described the burglar as being white, in his late teens, of slim build and about five feet six inches tall.  He was unshaven and wearing a blue hoody and dark bottoms.

Anyone who saw a youth running through Little Eaton at about 7pm or has any information about the offence should ring PC Rob Cokayne on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
