Man sustains fractures in Glossop assault

Police in Glossop are appealing for witnesses to a serious assault on a man in the town.

At about 11pm on Tuesday Nov 11 a 44-year-old man was approached by a group of about eight people, both male and female, who allegedly assaulted him outside the Norfolk Arms on Norfolk Square.

The victim spent three days in Tameside General Hospital being treated for multiple fractures and cuts and bruising.  He then reported the matter to the police.
